Job description
We areseeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Site Medical Director (SMD) to provide clinical and administrative leadership in Fort Walton Beach,Florida. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, board-certifiedEmergency Medicine physician with a strong background in emergency departmentleadership and operations.
The SiteMedical Director will oversee clinical performance, support provider staffingand development, and help ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining acombination of administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Trauma Designation: Level IIFlorida trauma center; Level I Alabama trauma center
Patient Population: Adult andpediatric
Patient Volume: 1.51 patientsper hour
Admission Rate: 25%
Schedule
120 hours per month
33administrative hours
87clinical hours
Administrativeshifts: 8 hours
Clinicalshifts: 9-12 hours, varying by schedule
Primarilyday and evening coverage; overnight shifts generally not required unlessbusiness needs arise.
Immediateand ongoing availability required.
Responsibilities
Provideclinical and administrative leadership for the emergency department.
Overseeemergency medicine operations, quality improvement, and patient carestandards.
Supportphysician and APP performance, staffing, and scheduling.
Collaboratewith hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to improve departmentefficiency and patient outcomes.
Providedirect emergency medicine patient care during assigned clinical shifts.
Manageadult and pediatric emergency patients, including trauma and high-acuitycases.
Supportcompliance with applicable clinical and operational standards.
Requirements
BoardCertified in Emergency Medicine.
ActiveFlorida medical license.
ActiveFlorida DEA.
Minimumof 3years of prior leadership experience .
