Job description
We are seeking a Locums Hospitalist Medicine PhysicianAssistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide daytime hospitalistcoverage in Live Oak, Texas. The provider will work collaboratively withphysicians, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary care team to providehigh-quality inpatient care.
Responsibilities
Evaluateand manage hospitalized adult patients during daytime shifts.
Performadmissions, follow-up assessments, and cross-coverage as assigned.
Developand implement treatment plans in collaboration with the hospitalist team.
Orderand interpret diagnostic tests and initiate appropriate interventions.
Respondto urgent and emergent patient-care needs.
Communicateeffectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families.
Completeaccurate and timely medical record documentation.
Requirements
NP:Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with nationalcertification.
PA:Graduate of an ARC-PA-approved Physician Assistant program with currentNCCPA certification.
Activeor eligible for appropriate Texas licensure.
CurrentBLS certification required.
