Approx. 20,000 visits per year ‐‐ averages to a busy daily volume
Hospital‐based emergency medicine setting
Hospitalists handle admissions ‐‐ ED providers focus on emergency care
Newborn deliveries received in the ED
ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ER Provider Code response required
Competitive compensation
