Locums – Longview, Washington, Gastroenterology Job
Join an established Gastroenterology team in Longview, Washington, providing both inpatient and outpatient GI care. This locums opportunity includes weekday clinical coverage with hospital rounding, admissions, and standard endoscopic procedures, along with intermittent 24-hour call coverage when needed for internal physician PTO or scheduling gaps.
Assignment Details
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Orientation must be completed prior to the start date.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Coverage Commitment: 0.5 FTE
Current Coverage Approval: Through December 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, five 8-hour shifts per week, 24-hour call as scheduled.
Call Schedule: 24-hour unrestricted call, call scheduled on an as-needed basis, primarily needed when internal physicians are unavailable or for PTO coverage, call responsibilities include consultations, rounding, and add-on ambulatory care unit cases.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology
Patient Population: Adult patients
Clinical Responsibilities: Gastroenterology clinic coverage, hospital rounding, admissions, gastroenterology consultations, standard endoscopic procedures, add-on procedures as needed, inpatient and outpatient patient management.
Procedures & Skills
Required experience with: standard Gastroenterology endoscopic procedures, hospital rounding, admissions, inpatient Gastroenterology consultations.
ERCP is not required.
Support & Technology
Clinical Support: 3 Gastroenterology physicians, 2 APPs, hospitalist support.
EMR System: Epic.
Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
Washington license preferred
IMLC candidates with a Letter of Qualification (LOQ) considered
Candidate must be prepared to apply for the Washington license promptly upon acceptance
BLS required
ACLS required
Credentialing
IMLC candidates may be considered if the Washington license can be issued within approximately one week of application. Candidate must be committed to applying as soon as an offer is extended.
Orientation must be completed before the November 9, 2026 start date.
