Locums – NP/PA Hospitalist Job in Michigan's Upper Peninsula Locum Tenens Michigan
Locums – Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (Upper Peninsula) – NP/PA Hospitalist Job

Locum tenens opportunity
Seeking a board certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant
Must have 6+ months of post-training experience as an NP/PA in hospital medicine
Seeking coverage as soon as credentialed, with ongoing needs
Current night coverage begins November 9, 2026
7 on / 7 off schedule
Night shifts: 7p-7a
Supervising physician support available
On-call physician available within 20 minutes
EMR and dictation: Epic/Dragon
ACLS and BLS required
Must provide 50 case logs from the past 12 months
Credentialing typically takes 30 days , with applications prioritized according to start date

Cases and Procedures:
Indirect laryngoscopy intubation
Endotracheal intubation and extubation
Ventilator management, including assessment of intubation needs, readiness for weaning, oxygen therapy, and extubation
Central venous catheter placement and management
Arterial catheter placement and management
Arterial and central venous line insertion, either percutaneously or by cutdown
Radial and femoral arterial line insertion and removal
Moderate sedation
Lumbar puncture
Chest tube insertion
Tracheostomy care, including tube changes
Temporary pacing management, including adjustment of epicardial, transvenous, or transcutaneous pacemakers as needed
Emergency management of tension pneumothorax
Paracentesis
