Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-EligiblePsychiatry Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in a hospital-basedpsychiatric emergency screening center in Atlantic City, NJ. This positionoffers a 7-days-on/7-days-off overnight schedule, providing psychiatricemergency evaluations for adult and pediatric patients experiencing mentalhealth crises. The physician will also supervise and teach psychiatry residentswhile supporting timely, appropriate patient disposition and treatment.
Compensation :
$230 Per Hour
Schedule & Details · Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
· Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
· CoverageWeek: Monday at 7:00 PM through the followingMonday at 7:00 AM
· Call: None
· PracticeSetting: Hospital-based psychiatric emergency room /screening center
· PatientPopulation: Adult and pediatric psychiatric patients
· AverageVolume: 8–10 patients per shift
· TraumaLevel: Level II
· EMR: Oracle / Cerner FirstNet
Responsibilities · Conduct psychiatric emergency evaluations foradult and pediatric patients presenting in crisis.
· Assess mental health needs, determineappropriate patient disposition, and establish treatment plans.
· Make admission, discharge, andobservation-level care determinations.
· Provide psychiatric medication management asclinically indicated.
· Evaluate and manage patients presenting withacute psychiatric symptoms and behavioral health emergencies.
· Supervise and teach psychiatry residentsduring clinical evaluations.
· Collaborate with the emergency andpsychiatric care teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.
· Complete timely and accurate clinicaldocumentation in Oracle / Cerner FirstNet.
Requirements · Board Certified or Board Eligible inPsychiatry
· Active New Jersey medical license required
· Experience with psychiatric emergencyevaluations required
· Experience evaluating adult patients andchildren or adolescents in crisis settings
