Export Operations CoordinatorWe are looking for a positive and professional Export Operations Coordinator to join our team in Savannah, GA! A leading freight forwarding company is seeking an eager and outgoing team member to join their expanding organization!As Export Operations your main priority will be providing excellent customer service while processing orders, entering data, and maintaining continuous communication with clients and staff members.Related specific responsibilities will include:Arrange and coordinate pickup transportation from customer's warehouse/supplier to NNR's warehouse or carrierArrange truck/rail movement of freight for shipper's locationReceive freight, check for count and damagesInput air waybill data into NNR's computer systemProcess Dangerous Goods Freight according to DOT and IATA regulationsCustomer Service duties to include sending customer invoices, miscellaneous filingPrepare Letters of Credit for exporting purposesPrepare Export Declarations and various DOC documentationComplete all Department of Commerce documentation for the exporting of freight out of the U.S.Check freight to ensure it complies with TSA security regulations, that Dangerous Goods freight is properly packaged/labeledProcess live animal and perishable shipments to comply with various federal agencies regulationsNegotiate rates and space with the airlines, steam ship lines and truckers to obtain competitive rates when applicableTrack and trace shipmentsPerform other duties as requested by management.Qualifications:Federal regulations that pertain to international export of shipmentsSeveral years experience with international air freightLogistic experience is a PLUSMust be able to work independently with minimal supervisionEligible to work in the US and pass TSA background check
