Our client is seeking a skilled Operations Executive with experience in logistics coordination, vendor management, and customer support to join their growing transportation and freight brokerage team. You will play a key role in coordinating carrier bookings, sourcing competitive transportation quotes, and providing operational support that ensures freight moves efficiently, on time, and within budget. Your work will directly impact service quality, carrier relationships, and the seamless execution of daily logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate freight bookings with trucking companies, carriers, and other transportation vendors to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution.
Source, request, and compare transportation quotes from carrier partners to support cost-effective freight solutions.
Respond to customer, carrier, and vendor inquiries via email and phone, providing professional and timely communication.
Provide back-office operational support to the deals and logistics team by preparing documentation, updating shipment records, and assisting with daily workflow.
Maintain accurate records of freight bookings, carrier communications, quotations, and shipment details using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to resolve operational issues, shipment updates, and scheduling changes.
Support the coordination of freight movements while ensuring high service standards and strong communication throughout the shipping process.
Must-Have Qualifications
2+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation operations, or a related administrative role.
Experience coordinating with carriers, transportation vendors, or service providers.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills with confidence handling phone and email correspondence.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and the ability to quickly learn transportation or logistics management systems.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with freight brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, or transportation companies.
Familiarity with load management, carrier sourcing, shipment tracking, or transportation management systems (TMS).
Experience supporting operations, dispatch, or sales teams within the logistics industry.
Knowledge of domestic freight transportation, including truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), rail, air, or ocean freight.
Experience working with U.S.-based logistics or supply chain organizations.
