Job description
Our Union County based client is seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional seeking hands-on experience across multiple areas of operations, including transportation, intermodal logistics, maintenance, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors ensure efficient movement of freight
Coordinate transportation quotes, dispatching, and shipment routing activities
Manage and track transportation movements and delivery schedules
Prepare and maintain transportation and shipping documentation
Monitor carrier and vendor performance
Maintain shipment tracking and transportation reporting tools
Review shipments for regulatory compliance
Analyze transportation costs and assist with invoice review and reconciliation
Support intermodal transportation operations and audit activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Transportation, or a related field preferred
2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, ability to create worksheets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn and develop within the logistics and transportation industry
