Lona Host
Lona, which will be located in Noelle, is a dynamic modern Mexican restaurant brought to life by the creative collaboration of renowned chefs Richard Sandoval and Pablo Salas. Lona aims to redefine the Mexican dining experience by combining traditional flavors with contemporary techniques and artistic presentation.
Noelle serves as a gathering place for some of the city's most interesting voices and makers as it continues to contribute to the spirit that makes it so unique.
Seeking warmth personified. A host is organized, quick-thinking, and positive and has a knack for hitting curveballs out of the park. This is the kind of person who never met a stranger and who goes the extra mile to keep a friend smiling. A host takes and confirms reservations, seats guests, answers inquiries, and communicates efficiently and clearly with front of house staff and leadership to help ensure an exceptional dining experience.
Requested Tasks
Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner always adhering to service standards
Monitor guests' seating, always planning 2 steps ahead, ascertaining both guests' and restaurants' needs to maximize service flow
Use and accurately maintain restaurant reservation system - including but not limited to proper table status, rotations, cover counts, and guest notes.
Ensure that a table is properly utilized to maximize covers for the space; allow walkin seating as available
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
Maintain a neat, organized and crisp environment
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, contributing to overall ambiance & presentation of the restaurant
Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
Additional duties and assignments as assigned
Requested Capabilities
Prior experience in a restaurant highly preferred
Availability to work weekend mornings is required
Weekday PM availability is required
Approachable and personable personality
Ability to be patient with guests' requests
Required to stand; walk; use hands to serve and clear food, beverages, plates/cutlery/glassware, additional objects as needed
Able to bend and kneel to clear tables, serve food, etc.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as define
