Job description

Long Term Maintenance WorkerReports To: Director of OperationsConditions Of Employment: October 13, 2026 - Approx. January 15, 20278 Hrs. per day (6:30AM - 3:00PM) Starting at $18.68 per hourQualifications:High School diploma/equivalentValid driver's license, CDL preferredKnowledge of facilities maintenance and repairsAvailability for emergency callsRespect confidentialityMust be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relationsReferences must be providedAbility to lift 50 Lbs.Ability to work flexible hours, weekends includedMaintenance Tasks:Inspect school buildings and grounds on a regular basis and make repairs as neededInspect maintenance equipment and vehicles on a regular basis and make repairs as neededCoordinate and prioritize building repair and maintenance activitiesCarry out a preventative maintenance program for facilities, grounds and equipment as directedInspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure a high quality of work performed to specificationsRegularly inspect and repair inside/outside equipment as needed to ensure a safe environmentRegularly inspect school safety equipment to ensure good working order (Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights)Mow and trim around buildings and grounds as scheduledReview work orders daily and complete them in a timely mannerMake recommendations and repairs to ensure compliance with lawsAssist in snow removal and salting of driveways, parking areas and walks to maintain a safe environmentCommunicate with principals and building staff about maintenance projectsKeep work environment clean, orderly and safePerform all work in a first-class workmanlike mannerAssist the Director of Operations with building auditsPerform all additional tasks as directed by the Director of OperationsPromote a positive relationship with students, staff and communityAdhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
