Job description
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Alpena, MI
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 hours Night shift
Pay Package: Stipend $1162 weekly non Taxable On w2
$458 / Taxable Total Gross $1620 / weekly on 36 hours
Roles and Responsibility
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy.
Evaluate the patient's cardiopulmonary function.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement respiratory care plans based on patient assessments.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Administer a variety of respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
Manage mechanical ventilation for patients in critical care settings.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and home care.
Instruct patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment, such as inhalers and home ventilators.
Monitoring and Documentation:
Monitor patients' responses to respiratory therapies and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests or respiratory failure.
Provide life support, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.
Diagnostic Testing:
Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
Collaborate with physicians to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders.
