Loss Prevention AssociateAllied Universal is hiring a Loss Prevention Associate to oversee a Supermarket located in Harlem.Position Is: Full TimeWork Shifts Available: Mornings, Afternoons and EveningsWorkdays Available: Candidates should be flexible Tuesday –SaturdayPay Rate:$24.63 - $25.63 hourAllied Universal is seeking the position of a Loss Prevention Associate. A Loss Prevention Associate allows us to contribute to our company's core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems and solutions to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses of our communities. We are looking for an experienced Loss Prevention Associate that has a background in the apprehension of shoplifters. Previous security experience or former military/ law enforcement encouraged to applyQualifications/Requirements:Be at least 18 years of agePossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experiencePossess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective mannerLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.Previous Law Enforcement or Military preferred or prior retail Loss Prevention experience - Undercover experience a plusAs a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local lawsDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skillsDriving Positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sitesAbility to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyAbility to travel to store locations within 25 miles of homeAbility to work retail store hours - to work evening and weekendsPossesses general operating knowledge of retail security camera equipmentBlend into a retail environmentPerform successful customer surveillance while walking the sales floorDetect and apprehend shoplifters following company policy and guidelinesAble to:Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heatOccasionally lift or carry up to 40 poundsClimb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shiftStand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of timeBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company's 401(k)planSeven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments; unused vacation is only paid out where required by lawClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
