Lot Attendant/Service Assistant - ColumbiaSNP Columbia - Columbia, MO 65201OverviewPosition Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Negligible Category: General LaborDescriptionPosition: Lot Attendant Department: Service Reports to: Service Manager Purpose: Responsible for assisting the service manager with supporting customers and employees with tasks including scheduling, customer communication, loading equipment, and perform any additional duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner all while adhering to safety rules and regulations.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the day-to-day operations of the service departmentLoading and unloading equipment (Driven and using a forklift)Schedule pick-up and deliveries with customersCall customers with repair estimatesStage equipment for delivery drivers.Help maintain a professional appearance of the grounds including equipment, parking lot, and buildings.Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer serviceMaintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and managementMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products and willingness to learn new systems and processes.QualificationsExperience, Education, Skills and KnowledgeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment: Efficiently managing multiple customers and tasksWork independently with little or no supervision, self-motivatedExcellent customer service skills and attention to detailExperience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment preferred.Experience with basic computer functions such as email, word and excel.Experience working cooperatively in a team environmentExperience communicating effectively verbally and in writingHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid drivers license required
