As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you will be integral to installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced low voltage systems. Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) in commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities
Perform fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, OTDR and Fluke testing, and document results accurately
Install and commission IP camera systems (Axis, Hanwha, Avigilon) and access control hardware (Lenel, Genetec, HID readers)
Build out MDF/IDF rooms with proper cable management, labeling, patch panels, and rack assemblies
Operate hand tools, fish tape, punch-down tools, and termination equipment safely and proficiently
Read and execute construction drawings and as-builts to ensure accurate installations
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients on active job sites, representing the company professionally
Work effectively in both team-based and independent settings, maintaining professionalism especially in occupied environments like hospitals and hotels
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage installation, including structured cabling, fiber, or security systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with structured cabling and fiber optics
Familiarity with IP camera and access control systems
Proficiency with testing equipment such as OTDR and Fluke
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Strong skills using hand tools related to low voltage work
Effective communication, problem solving, and teamwork abilities
