Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our team! You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage electrical and communication systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This is a great opportunity to join a company that has been serving the community since 2010.
We will train the right candidates for this position.
Responsibilities
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, coaxial, and fiber-optic cable.
Install and service security systems, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and alarm systems.
Install structured cabling, network equipment, patch panels, racks, and cable management systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Use hand tools, power tools, cable testers, tone generators, certification testers, and other specialized equipment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, security, or networking is a plus
Basic understanding of electrical and networking principles.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and construction drawings is a plus.
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated areas.
Ability to lift equipment and cable and perform physical work for extended periods.
Relevant certifications such as BICSI, manufacturer certifications, or state/local low-voltage credentials are a plus.
