Welder Position at Lowe BoatsAre you ready for what's next? See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As part of the talented Lowe Boats team, you will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble aluminum boats and subassemblies.Essential Functions:Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding. Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for following the quality systems procedures.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Self-starter, team player with a good safety awarenessRequires standing, bending and twisting for a 10-hour shiftPreferred Qualifications:High School diploma or GED preferredPrevious experience in welding or weld training preferredWorking Conditions:May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned areaRegularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs.Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily.PPE required: Hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety glovesWhy Brunswick:Whatever tomorrow brings, we'll be at the leading edge. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for 2% annual productivity bonus.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
