Shift Details: Nights open schedule Job Type : Local contract or per diem available Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition. Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans. Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures. Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients. Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited educational institution A degree from an accredited school of Nursing An active, current LPN license in applicable state or reciprocation 1 years’ full-time LPN experience in a correctional setting BLS through American Heart Association or equivalent Experience in ER, Psychiatric, MS or Clinic Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients.
