About the Opportunity As an LPN, you‘ll provide hands-on nursing care to clients receiving residential treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health needs.
You‘ll assess and monitor client health, administer medications, respond to medical concerns and collaborate with medical and behavioral health professionals to provide safe, effective care.
Behavioral health, detox or substance use disorder experience is preferred, but related healthcare experience may also be considered.
What You‘ll Do Conduct nursing assessments and monitor client health.
Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records.
Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms, medication effects and changes in condition.
Respond to medical concerns and assist with emergencies as needed.
Provide basic health education related to medications, wellness and recovery.
Document nursing care and observations in the electronic medical record.
Communicate relevant health information with the treatment team.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination.
Maintain client confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare regulations.
Support a safe, medically appropriate residential treatment environment.
What You‘ll Bring Current Kentucky LPN license in good standing – required.
Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, detoxification or a related healthcare setting preferred .
Knowledge of medication administration and safe nursing practices.
Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to medical or behavioral health concerns.
Strong communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a residential treatment environment.
CPR/First Aid or BLS certification.
