Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.### Responsibilities* Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.* Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.* Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.* Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.* Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records* Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.* Assists the physician with medical office procedures.* Maintain the integrity of the office.### QualificationsLPN Specialist requirements are: Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
