LSE Manufacturing Manager/SupervisorSalary Range $25.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob OverviewSelect Event Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Second Shift Production Supervisor (12:30PM-9:00PM) to lead and support our manufacturing team in the production of tents, fabric structures, vinyl products, and other custom-fabricated products. This is a working supervisor position responsible for leading employees, maintaining production schedules, enforcing safety standards, ensuring product quality, and supporting daily manufacturing operations. The successful candidate must be willing and able to actively participate in production operations, train employees, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, maintain quality standards, and operate equipment when production demands require. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a manufacturing environment along with hands-on experience working with industrial fabrics, awnings, canvas products, tensile structures, industrial sewing, vinyl welding, or similar custom-fabricated products.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise production employeesMonitor daily production schedules and ensure on-time completion of workTrain, coach, and develop production team membersMaintain quality standards and drive continuous improvementCoordinate workflow between cutting, vinyl welding, sewing, fabrication, and finishing operationsEnforce safety standards and company policiesTroubleshoot production issues and implement solutionsTrack labor efficiency, productivity, and quality metricsAssist with staffing, onboarding, and performance managementSupport employee development and cross-training initiativesLeadership & Technical ResponsibilitiesTrain operators and production employees on equipment, processes, quality standards, and safe work practicesMaintain quality control standards and ensure finished products meet company and customer requirementsTroubleshoot manufacturing, sewing, vinyl welding, fabrication, and assembly issues as they ariseDevelop employees through coaching, mentoring, cross-training, and hands-on instructionMonitor workflow and make real-time production decisions to keep schedules on trackProvide technical guidance regarding manufacturing methods, materials, equipment, and production techniquesSupport production activities directly and operate equipment when necessary to meet production demandsLead by example in safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and workmanship standardsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions when neededPromote accountability while fostering a positive and team-oriented work environmentQualificationsRequired Qualifications3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experienceDemonstrated experience training production employees and maintaining quality standardsProven ability to lead and motivate production teamsExperience in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of industrial sewing, vinyl welding, fabric fabrication, awning manufacturing, tent manufacturing, marine canvas fabrication, or similar custom manufacturing processesAbility to read production drawings, specifications, and work instructionsAbility to troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues in a production environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsWillingness and ability to work hands-on in the production area when requiredPreferred Industry ExperienceTent manufacturingCommercial awning manufacturingResidential awning manufacturingFabric structures and tensile architectureMarine canvas fabricationSign and banner manufacturing utilizing vinyl welding processesCustom fabric and membrane fabricationUpholstery manufacturingSoft goods manufacturingIndustrial sewing operationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceAbility to work safely around industrial manufacturing equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment
