Job description
Data Entry Pharmacy TechnicianMedwiz of Illinois is looking for a hardworking, dedicated, and reliable pharmacy technician who is fluent in data entry and claims adjudication. The appropriate candidate should possess outstanding customer service skills, be able to multi-task, and have great attention to detail. This position requires basic math skills, problem solving skills, moderate to advanced computer skills, and good communication skills.Essential Duties:Order entry of electronic and faxed in prescriptions via Pharmacy softwareAnswering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff in a professional mannerAdjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claimsCommunicate with fill floor to process orders in a timely mannerAccurately processing prescriptions and calculating proper day supplies and quantitiesAbility to problem solve and provide accurate information and efficient solutionsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentValid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and in good standing with Board of Pharmacy2 + years' experience as a pharmacy technician (in any capacity i.e. retail, LTC, hospital)Candidate must possess basic math skillsOpen availability (able to work holidays and weekends)Must follow required HIPAA lawsReliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:PTCB Certified Pharmacy TechnicianLong Term Care experienceFramework LTC experienceLong Term Care billing/ adjudication experienceFamiliar with Medical TerminologyHave a basic understand of Illinois Pharmacy LawJob Specifications:Full- time positionEvening Shift AvailableNo remote work available at this timeBenefits Package available for full-time employees
