Job description
DATES: January 25, 2027 - June 16, 2027
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Primary functions include the classroom instruction of students following district curriculum and procedures.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the building Principal
Works cooperatively with other administrators, supervisors, staff, parents and students to perform job responsibilities as outlined
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee will be required to perform any other position-related duties requested by the supervisor and/or Principal. Follow a continuous program of curriculum development
Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
Use relevant technology and materials to support and differentiate instruction
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Prepare classroom for class activities
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
Be aware of new materials, methodologies, philosophies and innovation, using those which suit the needs of the individual student
Assist in planning student activities, programs, and field trips
Attend required meetings and complete required reports
Consult with parents and other involved personnel concerning each student's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development
Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee

Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
Proficiency in presentation of technology to enhance small and large student group information & demonstration sessions
Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with professional contacts

Required to work under periods of stress due to the level of the position responsibility
Exposure to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses.
Occasional exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
Exposure to heated/air conditioned and ventilated facilities.
Exposure to a building in which a variety of chemical substances are used for cleaning, instruction and/or operation
OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Current Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151 clearances
