LUB L2 Block Pack Relief OperatorFor our future state-of-the-art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a L2 Packaging Relief Team Member II to join our team! Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 Billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant became operational in 2024 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026 with Phase 2.Job Summary: The Processing Relief Operator is responsible for vacancy relief coverage of all operator positions in Processing.Job Duties:Know and perform all required job functions for skilled operator positions as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Support operations throughout the department as designated by supervisorComplete LA makeup for the production day, and ensure accurate application of LA and Cellulose to product CIP and production setup of the Z-ConveyorAssist with team lead with changeoversCollect, weigh, and record all shift scrap and rediceCommunicate effectively with co-workers, maintenance, team leads, and supervisorsMonitor operations in the label room with the taper, full box metal detector, and labeling equipmentFollow sanitation procedures of all equipment at shutdownComplete assigned GMP and housekeeping duties and maintain 5S standards as requiredPerform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conductEnsure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policiesComplete paperwork accurately. Know and understand the normal operational readings for all data recorded and action to be taken if outside normal operationsMinimum Qualifications & Experience:Must be 18 years of ageMust be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English languageAbility to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessaryAbility to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairsBasic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functionsAbility to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to understand and apply standard operating proceduresAbility to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processesGood communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shiftsPreferred Qualifications & Experience:One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in machine operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment are preferred.Offering You In Return:A chance to be part of a global team of individuals passionate about producing and delivering high-quality products that help feed and nourish families around the world.
