nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: ( Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)

nnnPerforms routine lubrication of all equipment in assigned areas. Ensures that s/he has the appropriate lubricants and equipment to perform tasks in a manner minimizing unnecessary trips to and from the warehouse/shop to the production areas.

nnConducts routine sampling of lubrication reservoirs to for lubricant quality and signs of equipment problems

n

nnFills oil cans and cups and automatic dispensers with proper lubricants.

n

nnInspects automatic lubrication equipment for satisfactory operation, replacing/filing empty drums or malfunctioning lines from the central lubrication reservoir.

n

nnChanges oil in reservoirs with proper lubricant and cleans/replaces oil filters as required.

n

nnWipes excess oil or grease from equipment and floor.

n

nnReplaces oil and grease fittings as required.

n

nnRemoves guards or other protective devices only after the machine is locked out; performs lubrication and oiling and replaces guard. Advised proper personnel when the procedure is complete for removal of lockout.

n

nnMaintains a legible and up-to-date lubrication log/record. Ensures that remark detail any anomalies in inspection and lubrication routine.

n

nnFollows all safety procedures while performing work.

n

nnPerforms miscellaneous tasks such as sweeping, painting equipment etc...

n

nnVisually inspects belts for proper alignment and signs of fraying or general wear. Listens for unusual noises emanating from equipment. Monitors temperatures of bearings for unusual heat. Reports problems to the control room and logs all entries accordingly.

n

nnPerforms other functions as directed by the supervisor or control board operator

n

nnFollows established safety and housekeeping rules and reports, and/or, corrects unsafe conditions.

n

n nDeliverables:

nnnCompletes lubrication rounds with little supervision or direction.

n

nnNotes changes to the lubrication routes and provides information to allow for accurate updates to equipment.

n

nnEmbraces new technology to include the DMSI handheld data collectors, computer software, and state of the art sampling methods

n

nnWorks with the mechanical group to increase skill levels in maintenance.

n

nnMaintains the lubrication vehicle and lubrication storage area in pristine condition.

n nQualifications

nEducation and Experience : A high school diploma or equivalency is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience around production machinery in heavy industrial and/or manufacturing facilities. Additional consideration will be given to individuals with a background or education in the lubrication field .

nComputer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be PC literate and proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.

nThe individual must have the ability to articulate information over the radio and face-to-face effectively. This individual must also meet the Core Principle of communication.

nMathematical and Reasoning Ability and Skills: Basic math competency up to and including entry-level algebra. Have the ability to collect and accurately assemble data in a logical manner.
