National Network Services (NNS) is seeking a skilled LV Structured Cabling Technician to support commercial cabling projects and assist in the development of junior technicians. You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role requires experience with structured cabling installations, pathway construction, cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and crew leadership.

The ideal candidate will be capable of mentoring entry-level technicians, leading small project teams, and communicating effectively with project managers, customers, and fellow technicians.

General Requirements

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening if required

- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding

- Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments

What You’ll Do
/n
Structured Cabling Installation
/n
/n
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
/n
- Install and support structured cabling systems in commercial environments
/n
- Layout and install pathways, ladder rack systems, cable trays, backboards, sleeves, and supporting infrastructure
/n
- Identify fire-rated walls and implement proper firestopping methods
/n
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and industry best practices
/n
/n
Cable Termination & Testing
/n
/n
- Set up and operate copper cable testing equipment
/n
- Troubleshoot cabling issues using industry-standard test equipment
/n
- Terminate and dress copper cabling on: /n

- 110 Blocks
/n
- Patch Panels
/n
- BIX Blocks
/n
- Krone/ADC Blocks
/n
/n
- Perform cable certification and testing to verify installation quality
/n
/n
Leadership & Training
/n
/n
- Lead small crews on assigned tasks and projects
/n
- Ensure safety, productivity, and quality objectives are achieved
/n
- Mentor and train Level I Technicians to support their career development
/n
- Assign daily work activities and provide field guidance as needed
/n
- Follow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers while supporting overall project success
