nThe Saint Alphonsus Karcher clinic is now hiring for a Medical Assistant to work in their Urgent Care Clinic!
nPosition Summary & Highlights
nnnThis position will work in the Urgent Care clinic with rotating providers.
n
nnThis position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a fast-paced environment.
n
nnLocated at the intersection of Karcher Road and Middleton Road, Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides convenient care close to home for west Nampa residents and the surrounding communities. In addition tourgent care ( , this clinic also provides family medicine and pediatric services.
n
nnOpen daily with limited wait times, urgent care provides convenient and cost-effective treatment for conditions that are non-life-threatening.
n
n nWhat You Will Do :
nnnIn addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
n
nnYou will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. ?
n
nnAn ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and dependable.

nnYou also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills.
n
n nWork Schedule :
nnn36 hours/week: 3 - 12-hour shifts, Thursday - Saturday.
n
nnAround the hours of 7:45am - 8:15pm
n
n nOrientation and Training :
nnnWill be at least 2-3 full days each week in the first two weeks, plus self-paced e-learning.
n
nnIncludes EPIC Training, Clinical Regulatory training, POC test training, and immunization training.

n nMinimum Qualifications :
nnnHigh School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
n
nnMA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
n
nnAmerican Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
n
nnAmerican Medical Technologists (RMA)
n
nnNational Healthcare Association (CCMA)
n
nnNational Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
n
nnNational Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
n
nnAmerican Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
n
nnNational Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
n
nnNew Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hourseven with MA certification.
n
nnMedical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
n
nnBasic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
n
nn*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
