Job description
Machine AssemblerWe are seeking a Machine Assembler to join our fabrication environment. You will collaborate with the fabrication team, interpret blueprints, and use hand and power tools to assemble equipment. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and read blueprints to determine the proper layout of equipment.Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment to complete tasks.Collaborate with the team, demonstrating effective communication and the ability to take direction.Solve problems, pay attention to detail, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Use manual machinery to fabricate parts and fixtures.Operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in Machine Assembly or a similar role.Ability to interpret and read blueprints.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Technical School preferred.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team in a medium-sized fabrication and welding production shop. The facility is equipped with overhead cranes and other industrial machinery.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
