Machine Assistant/Machine OperatorOpus Packaging - New Bremen is a premier packaging company and supplier of corrugated products. We are currently searching for Machine Assistants and Machine Operators to join us!We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals for 1st shift and 2nd shift to assist in the operation of our machines and ensure they are running efficiently. You will work closely with our production team to uphold our high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and develop your skills in the manufacturing industry.Hours1st shift 5am to 1pm Monday through Friday2nd shift 1pm to 11pm Monday through ThursdayMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in a manufacturing or production environmentAbility to lift up to 50 poundsBasic math and computer skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to read a tape measurePreferred QualificationsExperience operating machines in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing principlesExperience with quality control processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsResponsibilitiesAssist in the operation of machines and equipmentPerform quality checks to ensure products meet our standardsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsTroubleshoot and resolve basic machine issuesSkillsAs a Machine Assistant or Machine Operator, you will leverage your attention to detail and technical skills to ensure our machines run efficiently and produce high-quality products. Your communication skills will be vital for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. Additionally, your ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues will be critical for smooth production.
