Job description

Machine BuilderThe Capital Equipment Builder is responsible for assembling complex capital equipment and machinery according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions, and a commitment to producing high-quality equipment for customer delivery.ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical components into complete equipment systems.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.Install and align machine components, subassemblies, and support systems.Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to improve assembly processes.Document assembly activities, deviations, and test results as required.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company safety policies.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in machinery assembly, equipment building, manufacturing, or related field preferred.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly prints, and schematics.Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems is a plus.Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical certification or vocational training preferred.Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems is a plus.Why Work Here?Enjoy a long-term and permanent role in a very clean production environment with great benefits. The position offers stability with a first shift schedule.Work EnvironmentThe warehouse is a separate part of the building from any manufacturing and is not temperature controlled, but it is very quiet. Contractors will work on a team of 15 with shifts spread out, having 5 people on each shift. The facility is large with 6 dock doors, and contractors will be picking parts for filtration systems. All orders are custom with parts varying in size from small washers to large metal or PBC components.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Libertyville, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
