Job description

At OceanAI, we are at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology solutions in the IoT sector. Our mission is to revolutionize how devices interact and communicate within smart environments. We pride ourselves on fostering an innovative culture where creativity meets technology, offering you the opportunity to work on pioneering projects that shape future technologies.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in AI to lead our IoT project development. This role involves designing robust IoT solutions, developing both backend and frontend components that interact seamlessly with our smart devices, and leveraging AI to enhance device functionalities and user experiences.

In this role, you will build software from the ground up to solve critical bottlenecks internally, often by applying our large language models. This role is cross functional: you'll interface directly with leaders across the company to identify critical bottlenecks and fix them, and you'll collaborate with our research teams to learn how to apply our LLMs and share feedback.

In this role, you'll:

Design and develop robust IoT solutions with seamless device communication

Build both backend and frontend components that interact with smart devices

Leverage AI and large language models to enhance device functionalities

Interface directly with leaders across the company to identify and solve critical bottlenecks

Collaborate with research teams to apply LLMs and share feedback

Contribute to the architecture and scalability of our IoT platform

We're seeking someone with experience including:

Strong experience with deep learning and natural language processing

Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Knowledge of IoT communication protocols such as MQTT or CoAP

Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

You might thrive in this role if you:

Are a builder. You are excited to impact how our company operates and scales. Your passion is building strong systems and processes from the ground up and executing them with precision.

Have a passion for IoT and AI. You embrace the opportunity to help deploy our technology in a way that connects people and places. You're excited to push the boundaries of what intelligent systems can do.

Are excited by new challenges. You don't have the answers to every question up front, but the process of solving them invigorates you. Bespoke issues requiring multidimensional knowledge excite you.

Are a collaborator. You work effectively across teams and disciplines, bringing together research insights and engineering excellence to ship great products.

Education & Experience

Ph.D./M.S in computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning, computer graphics, computer science or 5+ years of equivalent industry experience.
