Job description
Maintenance Technician IMaintenance Technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor and are responsible for maintaining and repairing UNEX Manufacturing equipment. Other responsibilities include:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform scheduled preventative maintenance throughout the facilityDiagnose issues and repair heavy equipment (hydraulic pumps, presses, brakes, dies, etc.)Use skills to operate machinery and equipment safely within limitations to inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair equipmentAccurately report labor and inventory data transactions at data collection workstationsPerform other job-related duties, which may include occasional tasks outside the normal scope of the positionComply with all applicable ISO Standards: Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and follow all plant policies and guidelinesComply with all applicable OSHA standards; Ensures all equipment guards, safety devices, personal protective equipment are always in place and follows safe work procedures and safety rulesQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 6-12 months related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipmentUnderstanding of mechanical and electrical systemsProblem solving skills: Ability to diagnose issues and implement solutionsATTENDANCE:Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to attendance standards, work deadlines, beginning and ending assignments on time, and scheduled work breaks where applicableNoise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to highWork Hours:Second shift 3:30 pm-12:00 midnightBenefits:Health, Dental and Life InsurancePaid time off401(k) with employer match upon eligibilityAdditional Important Information:To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; UNEX Manufacturing will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)This employer participates in E-Verify and upon employment will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
