Machine Maintenance TechnicianBeehive Industries is dedicated to Powering American Defense by revolutionizing the design, development, and delivery of jet propulsion systems to support the warfighter. Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine's speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role will be located at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility.The Machine Maintenance Technician works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of CNC machining and AM production equipment. This role performs preventative maintenance, assists with troubleshooting equipment issues, and helps maintain facility and production equipment to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, foundational troubleshooting skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The hours are Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm.What You'll Do...Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulationsPerform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on CNC machines and production support equipmentAssist with intermediate troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with limited supervisionSupport repairs, adjustments, and component replacements in collaboration with senior techniciansHelp with machine installations, equipment moves, leveling, and startup activitiesComplete daily, weekly, and scheduled maintenance tasks with growing independenceUse maintenance ticketing systems to document work performed and update task statusCommunicate equipment issues and status updates to senior technicians and supervisorsUse basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and correctlySupport continuous improvement and reliability initiatives as directedAssist the maintenance team with general tasks to support production uptimeYou have...EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.Experience0–2 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred1–2 years of hands-on exposure to CNC machining or industrial equipment environments preferredSkills & CompetenciesBasic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment operationFoundational ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsAbility to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and safety requirementsFamiliarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude with developing troubleshooting capabilityGood communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environmentBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems; CMMS exposure preferred)Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail with focus on safety and qualityThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
