Machine Operator 1This is a first shift (day shift) position, scheduled Monday through Friday, with working hours from 6:50 AM to 3:20 PM.A Day in Your Life at **: As a Machine Operator 1 at ** you will partner with Manufacturing Operations to machine parts to specifications. In this role, you will report to the Manufacturing Specialist.You Will Make an Impact By:Operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's productWorking from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasksChecking and inspecting operation against predetermined tolerancesSkills You Bring:1+ year of related experience requiredRequires production experience, basic reading, writing and addition and subtraction skillsAble to read and interpret blueprintsBe able to use a micrometer and caliperPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsRegularly requires good manual dexterity and coordinationOccasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 poundsAbility to remain in a stationary position for 80% of the timeFrequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder levelRegularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder levelMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandMust be able to exchange accurate informationOperates in a (professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing) environmentConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryAbility to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heatNoise level in the work environment is usually average
