Job description
Machine Operator- 2nd ShiftDecatur Diamond, LLC, a leading manufacturer of diamond-based tooling, is seeking a Machine Operators for 2nd shift for our production facility located in Decatur, IN. This person will be responsible for set-up and operation of production machinery.This position works 10 hours per day, four days per week. The hours for this position will be 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, capable of using measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, etc. Trade school or prior machining experience is preferred but we will train the right individual. Excellent benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer base and matching contribution, PTO, paid holidays, long-term/short-term disability and life insurance.Responsibilities for Machine OperatorSet up machinery for operationStart machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performanceOperate machinery and equipment according to instructionsTroubleshoot issues and perform daily maintenancePerform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisorComply with all safety and health regulationsClean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work areaQualifications for Machine OperatorHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience is preferred but will train the right individual.Must be detail-orientedUnderstanding of production and plant processesMust be familiar with Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, Excel and WordGood Math SkillsAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work in a team
