Machine Operator -3rd ShiftCherryville, North CarolinaJob Title: Machine OperatorEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Cherryville, NCPay: $14.75 per hourSchedule: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Fridays as needed (8-hour shifts)Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Cherryville, NC. In this role, you will operate production equipment used to manufacture powdered metal parts while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Safely operate production machinery to manufacture powdered metal parts.Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.Inspect, measure, and record product and process information to ensure quality standards are met.Complete production documentation accurately and timely.Load, receive, and move materials to support production operations.Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and product quality.Communicate production concerns and equipment issues with supervisors and team members.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions and production documents.Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.Ability to accurately complete production documentation.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to work in hot and cold manufacturing environments.Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift.Must be able to lift materials as required by the position.Steel-toe shoes or boots are required.Preferred Qualifications:Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience.Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).Basic computer skills for production documentation.Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus.Core Competencies: Machine Operation, Manufacturing, Production, Quality Inspection, Process Control, Mechanical Aptitude, SPC, Precision Measuring Equipment, Safety Compliance, Production Documentation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, Material Handling, Communication, Attention to Detail
