Job description
Machine Operator – Sushi ProductionNo machine operating experience is required; training is provided. Sushi produces packaged sushi and other Asian food products for grab-and-go meals. This temp-to-hire opportunity is a chance to learn food production equipment and build manufacturing skills as part of a team. The work takes place in a cold, refrigerated environment.Job Type: Temp-to-hireJob Summary: Help prepare and package sushi and other products while meeting daily production, food safety, and quality standards.Job Duties:Operate equipment used to cook rice, prepare ingredients, roll and cut sushi, and package products.Follow production instructions and check finished products for quality.Follow food safety and equipment operating procedures.Clean equipment according to the cleaning schedule.Work with teammates to meet daily production goals.Pay: $20.40–$20.90 per hourSchedule:3rd shift: 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.Experience or Skill Requirements:No prior machine operating experience required; training is provided.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated environment.Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work effectively with a team.Benefits offered by Bento upon permanent hire:Benefits offered by Verstela to temporary employees: Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, term life and AD&D, identity theft protection, prescription plan, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.Location: Chicago
