Job description
Machine OperatorCardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a Production team in Saline, MI. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating plastic mold injection machinery, producing quality products to customer requirements, completing required documentation, and maintaining a safe and clean work area. Position is 3rd shift (11pm - 930am but could be 8-10 hours a day, 4 days a week). Pay starts at $18.50/hr.Responsibilities-Operate assigned machines according to work instructions and safety procedures. -Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure products meet requirements. -Complete production and quality paperwork accurately. -Report quality issues or machine malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. -Communicate effectively with team members and other shifts. -Assist other machine operators as needed. -Work overtime as required.Qualifications-High school diploma or GED. -Assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. -Basic mechanical skills. -Strong attention to detail. -Ability to learn and use calipers, gauges, micrometers, and scales. -Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions. -Dependable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical & Safety RequirementsThis position may involve repetitive gripping/grasping, bending, twisting, climbing, and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and follow applicable manufacturing safety requirements. Forklift/Hi-Lo experience is a plus, but not required.
