Schedule is from 7:30pm-6:00am, Sunday-Thursday. OT schedule is from 7:30pm-6:00am, Sunday-Thursday and potential Fridays from 7:30pm-6:00am. As a Machine Operator, you will operate assigned production machinery in accordance with company standards to complete customer orders.Required qualifications include the ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance, current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship, 8th grade education or higher, 2 years manufacturing experience required or be a Certified Machine Operator from an accredited educational/vocational facility, ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification, ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds, and ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands.Preferred qualifications include ability to read and interpret blueprints, prior machine operation experience, prior hilo/forklift experience, computer experience, including keyboard/mouse skills, ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as gauges and tape measures, and ability to operate a powered industrial truck and/or overhead lift system.Essential functions include accessing electronic production system to determine daily schedule, verifying parts received against pick tickets for accurate counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging, monitoring material flow and updating electronic production system accordingly, selecting the appropriate machine settings or program according to specifications, setting up and operating machine, making minor machine adjustments, performing change-overs, investigating and documenting production nonconformance issues, rotating through department work centers based on business need, working overtime as needed, and performing additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
