Machine OperatorMachine Operators execute and optimize one or more manufacturing processes in the production of fluid mounts, torque rods, and related components. This role ensures safe, efficient machine operation while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality and consistently meeting production targets. Operators actively support lean manufacturing initiatives, apply disciplined execution practices, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Through collaboration across production, materials, and logistics teams, they help enhance safety performance, delivery reliability, and overall operational effectiveness.Work Environment: Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to extreme heat, noise, dust, odors, and moving equipment.Compensation: Starting Pay: $20.98– $23.73 per hour Shift Premiums: $1.00/hour for 2nd shift; $0.75/hour for 3rd shift Benefits (Effective Day One): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Vacation and Paid Time Off (PTO) 15 Paid Holidays Annually Tuition Reimbursement Program Product Reimbursement Program Perfect Attendance Bonus Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Recognition Programs Employee Discounts and Events Opportunities for Growth and AdvancementKey Responsibilities:Operate machinery, rep processes, assembly lines, and other production equipmentProduce parts according to work orders, engineering specifications, and material control instructionsMaintain required production levels while ensuring all parts meet quality standardsPerform first-piece inspections and ongoing in-process inspections to verify conformance to specificationsPrepare (prep) parts for final production, including removing flash and checking for defectsSet up machines to job requirementsMonitor machine operations to detect defects, malfunctions, or material issuesMeasure workpieces using appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracyComplete and maintain accurate production, scrap, and quality documentationParticipate in job rotation and cross-training to support operational flexibility and ergonomic practicesFollow all safety policies, procedures, and 5S workplace organization standardsIdentify and report equipment or quality concerns to supervisionMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform all other additional duties as assignedJob Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious manufacturing experience preferredAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to read, understand, and follow instructions, safety rules, job specifications, and operating manuals.Ability to write and comprehend simple correspondence and complete required documentation in EnglishBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to recognize operating errors and take appropriate corrective actionAbility to produce quality parts while maintaining required production levels and quality standardsAbility to inspect and prepare (prep) parts according to specificationsProficient in the use of basic hand tools and measuring instrumentsAbility to maintain accurate production and quality recordsAbility to participate in job rotation and cross-training initiativesComfortable working in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentGood attitudeKnowledge of and commitment to 5S workplace organization standardsAbility to work any shift 1st, 2nd, or 3rdAbility to perform other duties as assignedMust be able to work any shiftProlonged standing with frequent use of hands to handle tools and materialsFrequent reaching, bending, crouching, walking, and stoopingRegular lifting of up to 40 pounds; heavy lifting may be requiredVisual acuity includes close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusAbility to move throughout the manufacturing facility safely and efficientlyWe don't want average.
