Job description
Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. This role ensures that equipment runs efficiently and safely while producing high-quality components according to specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate machinery according to established procedures and safety standardsRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine production requirementsMonitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from standardsPerform routine quality checks using measuring tools and instrumentsAdjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure product qualityConduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as neededMaintain accurate production records and complete required documentationFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environmentCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goalsAssist in inventory management and report material shortages or equipment issuesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsBasic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers)Mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer proficiencyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periodsRegularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs; occasionally up to 50lbsManual dexterity and visual acuity required for operating machinery and inspecting productsWork EnvironmentManufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, and varying temperaturesMay occasionally be exposed to outdoor conditions depending on facility layoutUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) requiredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
