Job description
Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator is responsible for running secondary functions in the fabrication department. This role involves operating a variety of machinery with basic tasks such as loading parts, running the machine, off-loading parts, and checking quality. While basic assembly functions may be required, most assembly occurs in the production department.Responsibilities:Operate a machine to perform secondary functions in the fabrication department.Execute secondary functions such as grinding, polishing, drilling holes, deburring, measuring, and basic assembly.Load material onto the machine, run the part, and check the quality of the finished product.Essential Skills:6 months of machine operating experience.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Proficiency in measuring and operating machinery.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in metal manufacturing is a plus.General labor and production experience.Why Work Here?Enjoy comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage. It is well-lit, clean, temperature-controlled, and organized, ensuring a comfortable work environment.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
