Machine OperatorLocation: Carthage Recruiter: Rachel Gregory Req ID: 30188 Internal Candidate Eligibility Criteria: 1. Is a Lincoln Electric employee with at least 1 year of service 2. Is NOT on an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)Summary of the Position: This position requires the operator to accurately set up, program, and operate machines while producing products according to blueprints and work order specifications. This position also requires the operator to accurately measure of product using various tools and methods.Key Deliverables:Works safely and supports safety within their team and across the organization.Ability to effectively operate the End Former, Small Bender, Large Bender, and Hole PunchAccurate set up and program machine with specifications of product informationAccurate reading of all measurementsRoutine service of machinesProduce quality product while maintaining customer, and production standardsEnsure correct tools are used to operate machineInspect all work to ensure it meets specificationsPerform any other job responsibilities directed by management as business dictatesSafety Training, Team Meetings & Lean conceptsParticipates in safety and skill training, and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all timesAttends team meetingsUtilizes lean tools: 6s, visual factory concepts in maintaining order, cleanliness and safe work environmentMaintain a safe work area by working safely, following safety guidelines, and wearing required personal protective equipmentJob Requirements:Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferredCore Competencies required from Employees:Ability to read a measuring tape, micrometers, and calipersAbility to read and interpret blueprints (green sheets)Ability to accurately identify the correct tooling needed, determine cut length, and program the bender with measurements to run the partAbility to identify sizes and numbersMaintains a Customer Focus – Demonstrating exceptional service to both internal and external customers giving high priority to understanding and satisfying the customer.Takes Ownership – Demonstrates a continuous drive to achieve superior results and takes responsibility for those results.Is a Team Player – Has the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.Achieves Quality Results – Flawlessly executes on objectives to ensure the long-term success of the organization.Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities Required:Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills - Ability to read measuring scales, tape measure, micrometers and calipers. Ability to apply basic math concepts including angles.Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical Demands of Position:Sitting or standing for a 10-hour work day as job dictates, with occasional overtimeAbility to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds team lifting, raising or lowering an object from one level to another, including upward pullingAbility to handle job materials, sizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the handsHeavy or constant visual attention is required when performing jobLincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
