Job description
Set Up OperatorWe are seeking experienced operators to join our team for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Ideal candidates should have experience in machine operating, setting up machinery, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance. A comprehensive training program on the 1st shift will be provided before transitioning to the scheduled shift. We offer detailed performance reviews, significant opportunities for career growth, and a supportive work environment.ResponsibilitiesMachine and perform final inspection on products.Make adjustments on machinery to modify heights, speeds, and feeds.Work from drawings and blueprints.Obtain raw materials before commencing job duties.Organize products into designated areas.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operating or higher-level assembly.Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on machinery.Ability to lift 45 pounds.Competence in working from blueprints or drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in fabrication shops or automotive industry is advantageous.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a $175 voucher for Red Wing shoes after onboarding, the opportunity to join a union after 90 days, and scheduled raises after 90 days, six months, and one year. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.29 - $24.29/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
