Machine Operator (CNC & CMM) Job Details
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00-$34.00/hr, depending on experience
Location: Springboro, OH
Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of CNC and/or CMM experience required.
Zeiss Calypso experience required for CMM operations.
CNC programming or machine setup experience is preferred.
Proficient in GD&T and its practical application.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD data.
Experience using calipers, digital indicators, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate inspection and production data effectively.
Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. as required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
About the Machine Operator Role
As a Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment.
Develop and operate CMM inspection programs using Zeiss Calypso software.
Run CMM programs to inspect aerospace parts, components, and checking fixtures.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, CAD data, and GD&T requirements.
Use precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Modify and troubleshoot CNC and CMM programs as needed.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
Collect accurate inspection data and prepare reports in the required format.
Develop data collection programs for finished parts, subassemblies, components, and fixtures.
Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot machining or inspection issues.
Ensure inspections and production tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Store inspection data, reports, and documents according to established procedures.
Communicate inspection results to internal customers and production teams.
Assist with calibration and certification of inspection and test equipment.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Perform additional CNC, CMM, and machine operation duties as directed by leadership.
