Machine Operator / CNC Setup SpecialistSharp Turn Products, LLC, located in Oconomowoc, WI, is a world-class precision CNC Turning & Swiss Machining provider serving industrial OEMs throughout the United States. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team.About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Machine Operator / CNC & Swiss Setup Specialist with a strong background in short-run manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience setting up and troubleshooting multi-axis lathes, making program adjustments at the machine, and ensuring the production of high-quality precision components. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently and effectively communicate with management/production teams.Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (4/10 schedule). A Friday shift from 6:00 AM–11:00 AM may be required periodically, along with additional overtime as needed to meet business demands.Key ResponsibilitiesAt least 10 years in the industryExperience with short run manufacturingProficient at setting up multi-axis lathesA good knowledge of G & M codesMake program adjustments at the machineCapable of 100% inspecting finished partsUnderstanding & selecting proper toolingCalculating speeds & feedsGood troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of 5S principalsCommunicate effectively with managementRequired Qualifications10+ years of CNC machining and setup experience in a manufacturing environment.Extensive experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes and swiss machines.Proven ability to make program modifications and tool offsets at the machine.Experience in short-run manufacturing and frequent setup changeovers.Ability to calculate and optimize speeds and feeds for various materials and machining operations.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience performing detailed in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with management and production personnel.Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.What We OfferCompetitive pay of $32.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience.Stable, full-time employment.Opportunity to work on complex precision-machined components in a high-skill manufacturing environment.Supportive team culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Health, vision, dental, quarterly bonus program and 401k with company match.Our Total Rewards: Sharp Turn Products is a growing CNC machining shop offering stability, competitive salaries, and benefit options coupled with a collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional growth and development to help you succeed in your career.
