Job DetailsBasic qualifications are:Must be 18 years oldPossess a high school diploma or equivalentMust be authorized to work in the USOne year of manufacturing experience requiredOne (1) to three (3) years' experience operating one of the following: Slitter, Stretcher, and/or Cut to Length Lines requiredAvailable to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as requiredAbility to frequently lift 50 lbsWilling to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all PPE requirementsMust be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background checkEssential job functions are:Review work orders and use material handling equipment, overhead crane or fork lift to get material.Verify material to order and enter into computerInstrumentally start machine and set up line for productionCharge material through machine with hand controlsMaintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before during and after processingUse micrometers or calipers to check and record gauge width, hardness, burr and surface conditionDocument machine mechanical problemsUnderstand and document material defects, data entry and reconcile productionAdjust machine setup to correct defects as needed throughout processRemove scrap from machine and empty hopper as neededDirect Material Handlers, Crane Operators and Helpers as required to maintain continuous productionPhysical Demands:May be required to stand for long periods of timeMay involve some repetitive motionsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMay also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersDue to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and coldRequirements:Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructionsPossess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionComputer skills, data entry, good verbal and written communication skillsPerform basic visual quality inspections on productsUtilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform dutiesMust be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranesWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package including 401(k) with some employer match, medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, basic life insurance, paid vacation and holiday package.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
