Machine OperatorReports to: Floor SupervisorDepartment: OperationsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDuties & Responsibilities:Knowledgeable and safe operation of assigned work areaCalibration of machine and adjust settings to begin each production cycleFeed raw material to semi-automated machinesInspect output material for any flaws and verify quality of work.Perform routine pre & post inspections of machines; reporting any unsatisfactory conditions to floor supervisorSafely operate all assigned machines according to instructionsKnowledge of hand and power toolsReport any damage to company property of any kind including racking, trailers, equipmentAccurate, complete, legible, and timely completion of paperwork, tally sheets, production tickets, and/or reportsSweep and maintain a clean general facility work area inside and outsideMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Wear all required personal protective equipment, including industrial respirator maskPerforming other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or department managerPhysical Demands Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, climbs stairs, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and the minimum expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, some Sundays if necessary.
