Job description

Machine OperatorThis role operates CNC machines in a modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility, performing setup, monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure precision parts meet exact specifications. The Machine Operator supports the CNC machining center by handling raw materials and finished parts, using hand and power tools, and following technical blueprints and work instructions to maintain consistent, high-quality production.Responsibilities:Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce parts that meet production and quality standards.Perform machine setup, including loading programs, setting tools, and preparing equipment for production runs.Monitor CNC machines during operation and perform basic troubleshooting to address minor issues or interruptions.Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines, handling items weighing up to 50 pounds.Change and adjust machine tools as needed to meet production specifications and maintain accuracy.Perform routine maintenance checks on machines and promptly report any mechanical issues or abnormalities.Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.Interpret and work from technical blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts meet exact dimensional and quality specifications.Use hand and power tools to support production tasks and assist with general manufacturing activities.Support the CNC machining center with general production and support duties as assigned, including cleaning work areas and maintaining an organized workspace.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.Essential Skills:Experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment (any level of machine operation experience is beneficial).Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and tools.Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality checks of machined parts.Ability to read and use tape measures accurately in a production environment.Capability to interpret and follow technical blueprints and work instructions.Comfort using hand and power tools in a production setting.Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and consistent job tenure.Ability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand for long periods of time during shifts.Willingness to support both general production tasks and CNC machine operation as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Previous experience as a machine operator in a production or manufacturing environment.Interest in CNC machining and mechanical work.Familiarity with inspection processes and precision measuring equipment such as gauges and other inspection tools.Ability to adapt to different shifts and schedules as business needs require.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to long-term employment and growth.Why Work Here?This opportunity offers a supportive, growth-oriented environment within a local, family-owned organization that invests in its people and community. The position requires standing for long periods and handling materials up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading parts into machines. Candidates must be open to all shifts, which may include weekday and weekend schedules on both day and overnight shifts. The environment emphasizes safe work practices, organized workspaces, and modern equipment to support efficient and reliable production.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, GA.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
