Machine Operator I - 3rd ShiftEaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator I - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.The hourly rate for this position is $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Machine Operator's follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $26.61 per hour after 10 months.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits we offer:Health benefits effective day one of employment.Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!What You'll Do:The Machine Operator will be required to operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks, and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.In this function, you will:Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)Safety & Quality Training necessary, but not limited to:Types of Mechanical Power PressesSafe Guarding RequirementsTrip DevicesPress InspectionsDie SettingLight Curtain Blanking ProcedureBasic Operating ControlsFirst Piece Quality InspectionIn-process Quality InspectionLinknet trainingLaser Operator TrainingQualifications:Basic Qualifications:A minimum of six(6) months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of two(2) years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings.Experience with calibration equipment such as calipersPrior SAP experience.Proficient with basic computer applications.Skills:Position Success Criteria:Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.Ability to be self-driven.
